Priestley Homes Delivers £2million Restoration Project, Rivermill Court in Leeds

6 years ago Rivermill court restoration

Priestley Homes has completed restoration work on the conversion of Rivermill Court, a Grade II listed former mill, into 27 luxury apartments in Kirkstall, North Leeds.

Sister company, Priestley Construction, part of the wider Priestley Group, completed the £2million transformation of the building, which sits less than two and a half miles from Leeds city centre.

Work began on the scheme in March 2018, with Priestley Construction stripping out all of the internal structures and rebuilding new floors and walls to create the 27 high-specification apartments.

Rivermill Court, which was marketed for sale exclusively to buy-to-let investors in the student accommodation sector, has proved to be extremely popular. The development is almost completely sold, with only three units remaining. The Leeds rental market offers a 7% yield to professional landlords.

Nathan Priestley, chief executive officer of the Priestley Group, said: “Complementing our expansive portfolio of developments right across the North, Rivermill Court brings much-needed, high quality, contemporary homes to a key suburb in Leeds. Interest to date in these new homes demonstrates how sought-after the city is.

“The highly skilled team at Priestley Construction delivered this scheme within in seven months, a fantastic achievement by everyone involved that enabled us to bring these homes to market as quickly as possible.”
